Kroger & Jungle Jim's Trip Feb 24th

I was excited to have 2 hours all to myself with nothing planned this morning.  I hit 5 stores .... including Kroger and Jungle Jim's.  I never would have made it to that many places if I had kids with me.

I went into Jungle Jim's just for broccoli.  It's on sale for $.59 a bunch.  Somehow (as usual) I came out with lots more than broccoli.  It was a good trip though.

Here's what I bought:
6 Bunches of Broccoli ~~~ $.59 ea  I blanched most of it and put it in the freezer.
6lbs of Bananas ~~~ $.39/lb
1lb Mushrooms ~~~ Reduced to $1.35
4 Zucchini ~~~ Reduced to $.75 for all 4
4 Colored Bell Peppers ~~~ Reduced to $3.55 for all 4
Soft Taco Flours ~~~ $1.09
Hellavua Good French Onion Dip ~~~ Reduced to $1.00
  Minus a $.75 coupon making it $.25
12 Fresh Ground Chuck Patties ~~~~ Reduced from $2.19/lb to $1.59/lb $5.53 Total
3 Red Onions ~~~ $1.49/lb $2.61 Total

It's hard to track my savings on reduced produce because the original price isn't on the packages.
I spent $21.85.  My receipt says that I saved only $1.87 but I know that I saved much more than that.

My Kroger Trip was a quick in and out trip.

Here's what I bought:
2 Gallons of Milk ~~~ $2.28 ea or FREE with my cereal purchase
4 Boxes of Frosted Flakes ~~~ $2.50 ea
  Minus 2 $1.50 on 2 Kellogg's Cereals coupons
10lbs Tyson Chicken Boneless Skinless Breasts ~~~ $1.68/lb $16.95 Total
1 Dz Eggs ~~~ $1.29
6 Right Guard Deodorants ~~~ Closeout Priced at $1.43 ea
Minus 3 $2/2 Right Guard Deodorant

I spent $28.36 and saved $38.19 .... $9.00 of that from coupons.  That's 57% saved!

I spent almost the same amount at Jungle Jim's yesterday, too! I love their produce prices. It's comparable to Adi, but much fresher than I normally find at Aldi.
