Meijer & Kroger Trips March 16th

I went to both Meijer and Kroger today.  I saved a ton but also went over my weekly budget.  After 2 weeks of coming in under budget I'm still on track for the month though.  As put my groceries away today all I could think of is "It's time to eat from the pantry!" So from now through the end of the month it'll be milk, bread and produce only for my shopping trips. 

This picture is missing 2 5lb bags of Potatoes and 2 Soft Drink 2 Liters. 

At Meijer, I did multiple transactions to be sure to get all 3 catalinas I was expecting.

I spent $48.07 and saved $94.80 ... $21.00 of that was coupons and $6.50 was catalinas I rolled from one transaction to the next. That's 67% saved!!  Plus I have a $3.00 catalina for my next trip.

At Kroger I did 2 transactions so I could use the catalina from the bacon.

**Note:  At first the cashier wasn't going to accept the $1.50 on a beef with the purchase of 2 Classico Sauce coupons because the coupon has ground beef pictured. A manager came by, read the coupon which says $1.50 on Fresh Beef (not ground beef) and said that of course I could use it on Chuck Roasts.

I spent $54.54 and saved $98.09 .... $17.00 of that was coupons. $8.00 was March to Savings and $3.00 was the Oscar Mayer Catalina.  That's 64% savings!!
