Chocolate Cheerios Gift Pack Giveaway

Chocolate Chip cookies, chocolate cake, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, hot chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, chocolate..... Do I have your attention??

The word CHOCOLATE by itself gets my attention with out fail.  I admit that I am addicted.  I can use the excuse that I need chocolate for any number of reasons but really I just need chocolate for no reason at all.  My kids have the same addiction love for chocolate. I hope that doesn't make me a bad mom?

So you can imagine the excitement in my house when I was offered a Chocolate Cheerios gift pack from Cheerios through My Blog Spark.  I didn't know Chocolate Cheerios existed.  Right away I accepted the offer .... and then the wait began.  My kids checked the front porch daily to see if the package had arrived.  Finally (it really wasn't very long but you know how time goes when you're anxiously waiting for something) it was here.

The box contained a full size box of New Chocolate Cheerios, a brown cereal bowl (very much like the bowls already in my cabinet) and a set of various chocolate scented soaps and bath crystals.

As a side note:  The contents were well packed with bubble wrap, the kind with the big bubbles.  My hubby who's office is in our basement came upstairs quickly as he heard the loud pop, pop, pop!  He had no idea what the noise was until he found Dylan, our 5 year old, grinning from ear to ear as he jumped up and down on the bubble paper.  Ahh the little things!

I know for lots of people cereal is a common snack.  For whatever reason, it's not been common in our house.  So it didn't even occur to me to open the box for a taste.  The Chocolate Cheerios went into the pantry to be stored until the next days breakfast.  My three boys are beginning what I know will only get worse ... they're eatting like crazy.  The box of Chocolate Cheerios lasted 2 breakfasts of one bowl per boy and since they poured the bowls themselves they were pretty full bowls.  I had a bite from one of their bowls but wasn't fast enough to get a bowl for myself.

This box didn't last long enough for me to use in a snack recipe but I'm eager to try any one of these ideas:
Chocolate Cheerios® Marshmallow Hearts
Chocolate Hazelnut Marshmallow Balls

Strawberry-Chocolate Cheerios® Parfaits (I'm sure my family would like this one but I'm not a fan of yogurt. I wonder if the Strawberries & Chocolate Cheerios would help?)

I'm excited to tell you that Cheerios and My Blog Spark has offered to give one of my readers the same Cheerios Gift Pack that I got.  Yeah .... I get to give Chocolate to one of you!

I start the morning of with a good morning song on my alarm, go down stairs to my puppy Buddy who can't wait till I snuggle with him. After he goes outside I pour my self a bowl of cereal and check on my status on the computer. I then get ready for the long walk with friends or some days I have to get ready to go to work. Simple mornings at this house

This sounds horrible but my family isn't usually smiley in the AM. They usually need about a half hour of movement before they start smiling.

Our family starts off w/a great breakfast of eggs, bacon, and fruit or oatmeal/cereal and fruit. The most important staple is: coffee. We would probably eat chocolate for breakfast too. Isn't that a food group?!
